Loose fit long denim shorts
Apparently, knee length denim shorts are one of the trending clothing items of 2024, at least among the general American GenZ population. Personally, I am glad to see a trending clothing item that is not only trendy,cute, and easily accessible, but is also modest, and covers certain areas of the body while being stylish. In previous years, it has been extremely hard for me to find shorts that weren't either too tight, had too many rips, or was too short. My delight knew no bounds when i discovered that the shorts trending this year were the perfect length, had super cute details like cargo pockets and rips at the bottom of the shorts...where they belonged. I ordered my first one from SHEIN and loved the fit and the details, and so am planning on purchasing more in different colors, such as acid-washed black, and with different lengths - some at the knee, some a few inches above. These are perfect for the hot summer days when long pants are not very appealing.2. Mesh Tops
cute but light tops like this add a more feminine flair to the long denim shorts.During the summer, I usually just wear tshirts made of cotton material. Unfortunately, the type of cotton that tshirts are generally made with generally causes an uncomfortable sensation when in hot environments, at least for me. I don't wear crop tops, and i don't where tank tops or camisoles by themselves, so i decided that I would get some mesh, or fishnet tops to wear over different colored tank tops and camisoles. This provides a cooler alternative to shirts made of cotton material, while maintaining the modesty aspect. It also brings a stylish aspect of layering. While the general fishnet tee or hoodie seems to be paired with a sporty or brand bra, I maintain the modesty aspect while still being stylish by layer with a tank top or camisole instead, and using different colors depending on the outfit.3. Cami Tops (for layering)
With the fishnet tops, of course i need to get some camisoles to go under it. Although i do have a black one that i usually use for layering, i have had that one for a long time, so i am definitely due for an upgrade. I decided to get a pack of three neutral colors, black, grey, and white, so that they can go with everything. Later, I will probably get more colors to expand the scope of outfits, but for now I am getting this set of three camisoles.4. Cute summer dresses
Another trending item that has actually been trending since 2022 or 2023 is the cute midi-length summer dresses. These usually have cute flower patterns, are a couple inches past the knee, and are in pastel, summery colors, made with a light, flowy material. While they can often be found with spaghetti straps, which is a no-no from the modesty aspect of things, they often have these princess cap sleeves as well, which have the perfect coverage while not covering so much to the point where it is no longer fits the summer vibe. One disadvantage is that they often have splits that go above the knee. If i absolutely love a dress and it has a slit thats too high, i make the split a bit lower so it doesnt show too much. In general, however, I have been able to find cute ones without splits. This is another key item on my SHEIN summer haul list.5. Wedge Sandals
To go with my cute summer dresses, and to add a more feminine flair to my long denim shorts, I plan on ordering some ankle-high, strappy sandals. These are supper cute and can go with anything, and while I have some black ones, I need some white ones which would go more with the outfits I wear. Currently in my cart is only some white ones, later on I plan on adding some black ones like the ones in the picture above. Although I rarely wear open toe shoes, i decided that this summer I did not want to deal with having hot feet. Because my body temperature is regulated by my feet (if my feet are cold, im cold, if they are hot, im hot, regardless of the environment.), it is currently too hot for me to be comfortable wearing closed toe shoes all the time.That's it for the top 5 items on my SHEIN modest summer haul list!
